Yes, this may be signed as new graphic mode "LCD MODE". You don't need any additional hardware/interface, only LCD TV (ideally FULL-HD) connected to ZX Spectrum. This is interlaced mode with 2x higher vertical resolution (= ZX with 256x192 may on LCD TV show 256x384). This mode need ideally two videorams (Timex or ZX128/+2/+3). Don't need any CPU time, theoretically you can modify some old ZX games.

LCD MODE enable making new games with hi-res 256x384 full color graphic mode with up to 128 colors. It's not new colors as on ULA PLUS, but this is only color interlace (2x smaller color pixels) and visual efect is as on photos. With interlace is possible make games without attribute collisions, for example DIZZY. On one TV screen may be combines classic ZX graphic, hi-res mode and new colors.

Examples look very impressive. A standard Speccy with 128 colours, this is awesome.

And main feature is possibility make color graphics without attribute collisions. And is possible change colors in some old ZX games with similar effect as ULA+ palette.

Testing equipment:

ZX Spectrum +2 (Grey)
LG 24MT58DF-PZ

It works great, no flickering.

On my Samsung 4:3 LCDs of course flickers as hell, but on 26'' HDReady Sony LCD KDL26U3000 it looks perfect. The picture becomes stable after about 0.5 second. Tested on 128K (toaster).
