Thanks to diver4d, they can be now viewed on a real hardware (ZX Evolution - a modern clone of ZX Spectrum with advanced graphics capabilities).

There are much more in that competition. Most of these works use standard 16 colors of ZX Spectrum, 1 color for 1 pixel without color clashes, so this is why they can be watched only on ZX Spectrum clones with advanced gfx capabilities.

We are also publishing the project development road map on five directions.
Current top priority is getting rid of some commerce modules and publish the source code of portal to the GitHub under some free license, so anybody would be able to start up his own copy for any non-commercial purposes or even help with ZX-Art development.

Nie wiem dlaczego, ale osobiście zdecydowanie bardziej wolę takie obrazki (nawet jak zaweirają trochę 'color-clash') niż wszelkiego rodzaju GigaScreeny.
Interesting fact: making a good Gigascreen image is really hard, almost twice as hard as making a good 6912 image. I personally prefer standard ZX screen too, but it was a nice practice to try gigascreen.

I grew up with ZX Spectrum and back in the 80/90s noone thought about gigascreen and alike effects. Probably mostly to the fact that finding a 128k model back then was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Gigascreen looks good oon emulators with blinking removed, on regular monitor/tv... i don't know. Feels wrong.
I did once one logo for a gigascreen mode, but stil prefer the old plain 6912.

A number of updates have been completed on ZX-Art during past two months.
- The internal API filtration was accelerated almost twice, which resulted in the speeding up main page opening.
- Switching to PHP7 provided nearly 30% of performance increase.
- There is a single catalog of authors now. Musicians / Artists are now simply filter from a single directory.
- Fixed some bugs in the conversion of MP3 / OGG.
- Added a votes for comments. Didn't help much, still had to ban trolls.
- Fixed numerous bugs in the JS-player of music.
- Advanced search is now able to show a list of authors.
- Filtering by country / city of the author is added to advanced search
- Filtering by presence of the drawing stages / inspiration is added to advanced search
- Author aliases have been implemented. Alias may have its own works, the author page combines all works of all its aliases
- Implemented the groups of authors: the groups may have unlimited nesting, the group consists of members with membership dates and a role of the group.
- Added Spanish language. Some translations were made by hand, some are machine translation.
- Added basic information output to ZiFi (http://hype.retroscene.org/blog/dev/363.html)
- Added support for sXg-graphics (http://zxart.ee/eng/graphics/database/pictureType:sxg/)
The project develops quickly, the development process sticks to the planned roadmap more or less. The next stage would be connected to categories of software, releases structure, extended materials.

W hiszpańskim czasopiśmie Microhobby były publikowane obrazki stworzone na Spectrum i nadsyłane przez czytelników. Jak to z czasopismami z tamtego okresu bywa, zwykle kolory były zniekształcone i nachodzące na siebie, piksele rozmyte itp.
Moroz opracował zbiór narzędzi które pomagają mając takie zniekształcone zdjęcie ekranu Spectrum uzyskać oryginalny, ostry, niezniekształcony obrazek w formacie Spectrum czyli .scr.
Narzędzia dużo pomagają ale nie jest to proces w pełni automatyczny. Nad każdym obrazkiem musi jeszcze usiąść i popracować człowiek i zrobić korekty w tych miejscach gdzie algorytm zawiódł. Podziękujmy więc pani Marii Veide :)

The results are a bit strange for me, Nr. 3 should be Nr. 1 and Nr 2. should be Nr. 5 or so for me but probably people had their reasons to vote this way ;)

The voting was party-place only, so there was only about 25 voters this time. Also, on a large screen, being displayed 15-20 seconds only, Battle City was a little bit lost in details. It's a usual thing that large object look better on big screen.
However I agree that Battle City should have taken a first place.

Tak mnie zastanawia jedna rzecz. 90% obrazków na ZX-Art.ee zapisana jest w formacie SCR. Pytanie jednak czy istnieje możliwość wyświetlenia tych plików na prawdziwym Spectrum'ie lub jego klonie? Próbowałem wrzucać obrazek do EMU przerabiać na snapshot i go konwertować do formatu TAP programem snap to tap, ale obrazek Xzema ma zmasakrowane pierwsze bodaj 4 górne bloki, zaś gdy za pomocą emulatora zapisałem snapshot w formacie TZX to ten nie chciał wogóle się wgrać na oryginalnym komputerze.

Ok, ogarnąłem, dzięki. Swoją drogą przygotowałem też swoją pierwszego własnego "arta" pod zx spectrum... Choć chyba nazywanie tego własnym jest trochę na wyrost gdyż po prostu przystosowałem grafikę postaci Śmierci z komiksu mr. Sandman w taki sposób aby móc ją wyświetlić na komputerach timex lub spectrum. Poniżej pogląd. W załącznikach zaś pliki .TAP oraz .SCR

P.S. Dołączam też oryginalny obraz który modyfikowałem. Samą postać pierwszoplanową poddałem ditheringowi w algorytmie floyda-steiberga. Tło zaś było przenoszone bardzo mozolnie. Mianowicie w GIMP-ie stworzyłem plik o rozmiarze 8x8px w trybie indeksowanym z wyżej wymienionym algorytmem ditheringu, następnie kopiowałem blok po bloku obraz i eliminowałem "na oko" kolory które wydawały mi się być mniej dominujące, następnie blok po takiej redukcji kolorów kopiowałem i wklejałem w miejsce oryginalnego... i tak kilkasety razy. W sumie czas który przeznaczyłem na stworzenie tej grafiki to ok. 10h.

Zgodnie z instrukcją zarówno esxdos i fatware czytają scr. Nie mam teraz sprzętu pod ręką żeby to sprawdzić.
