Hi, i've 2 Timex FDD3000 , one working the other don't.
The non working one has a toroidal transformer and the FDD motherboard has a Square ULA, with at least 16k Ram on top. Currently working on it for ressurection. Has 2 3' drives.
The working one is in pristine condition, never opened. Also has 2 original 3' drives, both working. Not making any changes to it.
My collection comprises : TC2048 (in Original Box) with Neptun Green Monitor, TC2068 Grey (in Original Box), 2 Timex FDD3000, 1 TC1500 , ZX81 , all ZX(48/128/+2/+3), QL, Sam Coupe and Sinclair PC200.
The TC2048 with monitor were purchased at the Timex Factory in Portugal, from a friend of my father that worked there at the time. This bundle were offered to me as a gift for passing grades at school. The Green Neptun Monitor was the obvious choice at the time as my father didn't allowed anyone near his precious Black and White TV. At the time it cost him the equivalent today €400.
So i cherished and keep it all this years. As i collect retro computers and consoles, my collection extends to Commodore, Atari , Amstrad CPC, Memotech and consoles.
